Open water diving course in Lanzarote
What does the course include?

Course information
- Training part: 6 water sessions in the ocean.
- Theory part: exam on Open Water Diver Manual (online or onsite)
- Duration of the course: 3 mornings (1 afternoon in case you do the exam onsite)
- Duration of the dives: 45-55 minutes each
- Maximum depth: 18 meters
Requirements
- Must be 10 or older (*10 and 11 y.o. can only go down to 12 meters depth.
- Fill in a digital medical form.

What can I do with my Open Water Certification?
- Dive with a buddy in an autonomous way. (from 16 y.o.)
- Dive in any diving centre around the world by showing your Certification PADI Open Water Diver.
- Plan and arrange your dives in a safe a responsible manner.
- Dive to a depth of 18 meters.
- Continue your training as a diver, signing up for the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or for the speciality courses available for Open Water Divers.
- Show off to your friends and take them diving!
What do we do in the confined water part?
In the confined water part we will do some exercises on the surface and underwater in order to learn how to get on in a safe and comfortable way. This first practice will take place in the sea in shallow waters (Max. 6 meters).

What does the exam consist of?
The exam consist of 50 multiple choice questions. It is really easy if you have carefully read the manual. If you have any questions or doubts on the theory part, you can discuss them with your instructor during or after the course.
When do I need a medical examination?
The medical examination must be done just in the case that you answered “yes” in any of the questions of the digital medical form.
What does the course consist of and what's the schedule like?
The course consists of three parts: one part with confined water exercises, one part with open water training and a third part with theory.
Mornings: 8:20 h.-13:30 h.
Afternoon: 15:30 h. 18:30 h. (only if you choose to do the exam on site)
What do we do in the Open Water part?
In the Open Water part we will be able to put into practice all you have previously learnt. It consists of 2 sessions, a part with exercises and a guided dive. You will feel your progress and will become more and more autonomous. You will visit Lanzarote’s diving spots while you keep learning. Your PADI instructors will supervise you at all times and they will help you improve your techniques so that you become a real “Mojo Diver”
Can I do the on-line exam at home?
Yes, definitely. With the PADI eLearning system you can do the on-line content reviews beforehand on your tablet, mobile phone or computer. You can also access your materials off-line.
This is our client’s preferred option since you will have more time free to enjoy the island while you are on Holidays.
How many hours will I have to learn for my exam?
This depends of course on each individual’s skills. However, 4 to 6 hours comprehensive reading might be a good estimation. If you decide to do the exam on site, you will have to read the manual before you start the course and complete the test after each lesson.
