Cancellations Policy
At MOJO DIVE we always try to adapt to the needs and availability of our divers, therefore, read and accept our cancellation policy before booking your diving activity or course.
1. Cancellation policy
The acceptance of the reservation once formalized implies the agreement by the CLIENT of the present CANCELLATION POLICY established by MOJO DIVE.
In the event that the CLIENT does not finally carry out an activity booked with MOJO DIVE, the following will apply:
NO CHARGE WILL BE GENERATED to the CUSTOMER in the event that the cancellation of the scheduled activity is carried out by MOJO DIVE, regardless of the reason for the same. In the event of a partial cancellation of the activity for reasons beyond the client’s control, the corresponding refund will be made based on the rates stipulated on the website.
In the event that the cancellation of the scheduled activity is carried out by the CLIENT, regardless of the reason for it, the following will apply:
NO CHARGE WILL BE GENERATED to the CUSTOMER provided that the CUSTOMER effectively informs MOJO DIVE of their willingness to cancel the scheduled activity AT LEAST 2 DAYS IN ADVANCE of the date the activity is scheduled to take place.
The CUSTOMER will be charged 100% OF THE TOTAL AMOUNT of the scheduled activity when there is no record of communication by the CUSTOMER to MOJO DIVE of their willingness to cancel said activity, or that communication by the CUSTOMER is produced with an ADVANCE LESS THAN THE MINIMUM PERIOD OF 2 DAYS established in the previous section.
In the event that a diver signs up for an outing for certified divers, he is required to be up to date in his diving techniques to dive independently, as allowed by his diving qualification.
In the case that the diver registers for a Try Dive activity, no refund will be made in the event that the client decides not to do the activity, for any reason beyond the control of MOJO DIVE.
In the event that the guide responsible for the dive perceives that the person does not have the minimum techniques to carry out a diving trip and may put his own integrity, that of his partner or any other member of the diving group at risk, will indicate to the diver that they must remain on land and not dive, being recommended a refresher course before registering for a diving trip. This will not imply any refund of the amount of your reservations.
In the case of reservations for two dives on the same day, in the event that after making the first dive, the diver decides not to make the second reserved dive, 100% of the amount of the activity will be CHARGED except for health cases involving medical assistance.
The policy on cancellations in diving courses is as follows:
If the student who is taking a diving course has exchanged the theoretical part online, but does not continue with the course, the student must bear the cost of the redeemed digital product, which corresponds to the amount of the reservation.
In the event that the student who is taking an open water course and has exchanged the theoretical part and has also carried out part of the practices in water, the student must assume the cost of the service enjoyed plus the amount of the redeemed digital product.
In diving baptisms, once the activity has started (beginning of the brefing), if the student decides at any time not to dive for any reason, there will be no refund of the amount paid.
2. Diving insurance, medical declarations and Diving Certifications
The diver is responsible for having submitted, within the period of the two preceding years, to the mandatory medical examination carried out by a doctor specializing in underwater activities or, otherwise, for having filled out the corresponding medical statement upon arrival at the dive center. accredits the diver as suitable for underwater activities, whose validity came into effect in June 2020.
It is the obligation and responsibility of each diver to have in possession his diving certificate corresponding to the level of diving for the activity he is going to carry out. If you do not have the proper certification, Mojo Dive reserves the right of admission, not refunding the amount of the reservation.
3. Responsible use of diving equipment
When the diving equipment used by the client is provided by MOJO DIVE, the following will apply:
It is the diver’s responsibility to return the equipment to the dive center in the same condition as it was delivered. In the event of loss or breakage due to misuse, the customer must pay the amount for the repair or replacement of said material. This circumstance applies to any diver and any activity.
